“Careers by Hair Cuttery” Sweepstakes Official Rules
No Purchase Necessary. Open only to legal residents of the U.S., who are 15 years of age and older and licensed hair stylists and Beauty School Students as of date of entry. Void where prohibited.

1. Promotion Period: The “Careers by Hair Cuttery” Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) begins at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on December 01, 2010 and ends at 5:00 p.m. ET on December 30, 2010 (“Promotion Period”).
   
   
2. How To Enter: You may receive an e-mail or mailed letter during the Promotion Period inviting you to enter the Sweepstakes. During the Promotion Period, visit www.CareersByHairCuttery.com, and complete the online registration form and survey to earn one entry into the Sweepstakes. Entries must be complete in order to be eligible. Entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. ET on December 30, 2010, to be eligible. Limit one entry per person/e-mail address. Normal Internet access charges imposed by your on-line service provider will apply.
   
   
3. Prize: Grand Prize (1): An Apple iPad. The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the prize is $499. Prize is non-transferable and no substitutions are allowed except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize is unavailable. Prize cannot be redeemed for cash. The ARV of the prize is subject to price fluctuations in the consumer marketplace based on, among other things, any gap in time between the date the ARV is estimated for purposes of these Official Rules, and the date the prize is awarded or redeemed.  If the actual purchase price of an electronics prize is less than the ARV stated herein, the prize winner will NOT be entitled to a check, cash or other form of payment for the price difference.
   
   
4. Random Drawing: Winner will be selected in a witnessed random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Drawing will be conducted on or about October 29, 2010, by Sponsor whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received. Prize will be awarded and winner will be notified by mail/e-mail.
   
   
5. General Rules: All federal, state and local taxes, if any, related to the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prize winner may be required to verify address before delivery of prize. Return of prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate selection. If winner is a minor, prize will be awarded in the name of the winner’s parent/legal guardian. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission to use winner’s name and likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law. Sponsor and its agencies assume no responsibility or liability for damages, losses or injury resulting from acceptance or use of the prize. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges. Entries will be declared to be made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet Access provider, Online Service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or web site; violates the Official Rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes which may limit the ability to participate or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor is not responsible for any damage to entrant's computer in connection with accessing or downloading any information from Sponsor's web site. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Sweepstakes if it becomes technically corrupted, and award the prize from eligible entries received prior to cancellation.
   
   
6. Eligibility: This Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the U.S., who are 15 years of age and older and are licensed hair stylists, Beauty School Educators or Beauty School Students as of date of entry. Employees and their families of Ratner Companies (“Sponsor”), its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each, are not eligible. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited. Subject to all federal, state and local laws.
